Purpose

We all get lost sometimes.  Some of us may feel like we are always lost and we find ourselves living in a cycle and lose sight of the bigger picture.  The good news is that God has a plan for your life.  The bad news is he’s not known for just telling you this plan; you have to find your purpose yourself trusting in his guidance.  His plan for your life is intentional and cannot be altered or changed (Job 42:2).  His purpose is greater than any plans you have for yourself (Proverbs 19:21, 20:5).  Just as His plan is intentional, as needs to be your effort in working for the purpose which he has designed you for.  You must overcome trials and failures and allow it to guide you to your true purpose and to be the best version of yourself in his name (Philippians 2: 12-13).  God has given you all the skills and abilities which you need for your life; God wants to see you succeed and wants you to fulfill your life’s purpose and as such, he has given you what you need and will challenge you to strengthen you so that you can be the best you can (Romans 12:6, Psalm 32:8).  Have patience and trust in God’s timing; what is unclear to you now will become clear in His timing (Psalm 27:14).

I hope you use this pose to build your own study.  Follow the guidance above and the verses provided to learn more of His word on purpose.  Trust Him and trust yourself that you will know what you are meant to do with your life.  Use your talents and abilities in His name to serve for a bigger picture.

Finally, let us pray…

Lord in heaven,  I pray that each and every one of us are able to find clarity and know we have a job to do and we have the ability to serve you in our own unique ways.  Lord, I pray for those of us who are lost that we would not give up but use this time in our lives to work through the challenges you have presented before us and find strength on the other side.  Lord, be with us as they go through this journey of self exploration and discovery and guide us in the right direction for them.  In your name I pray, Amen.
